Safety-critical communication, done as a system
PAGA — Public Address & General Alarm — is the system a vessel or plant depends on in its worst five minutes. We engineer PAGA installations that stay audible and intelligible across engine rooms, decks and process areas, and we deliver them the way safety systems should be delivered: engineering design and study, supply, installation, then documented testing and commissioning. As a partner of ARMTEL, we deliver industrial PAGA and intercom platforms engineered for high-noise, high-humidity, chemically aggressive and explosive environments — see the featured ARMTEL hardware below.
Intercom and telephone, including hazardous areas
Alongside PAGA we install public address and intercom systems — including industrial and explosion-proof intercom for hazardous zones on tankers, terminals and platforms — plus wider telecommunication systems, so day-to-day operational comms and emergency comms are engineered together rather than bolted on separately. A recent reference: integrated security CCTV and intercom delivered for a boiler lift at Malakoff's Tanjung Bin power plant.
The backbone: fibre and structured cabling
Communication systems are only as good as the cabling under them. Our teams run and terminate fibre-optic cabling with splicing and structured data cabling to marine standards, and deliver 5G network connectivity for maritime vessels — high-bandwidth, low-latency shipboard connectivity for operations, remote monitoring and crew welfare — the same infrastructure that carries our marine CCTV and surveillance systems, which is why the two scopes are often delivered in one mobilisation.
